Ladue alum Jake Torchin is an independent television and film editor in Los Angeles, CA. Jake has worked on shows such as Viceland's "The Therapist," edited videos for celebrity Will Smith and his company, and has already produced, written, shot, and edited his own short film, "Small Ball." In this episode, Jake talks about his journey after Ladue High School, which led him directly into the media business editing music videos and reality-style docuseries television. Jake offers advice of developing a specific digital expertise, such as editing, and ways to monetize it. Jake also discussed the editing software he uses, his greatest challenges, his greatest achievements, and offered advice for young filmmakers everywhere.

Charlie Marlow is a sports anchor/reporter with FOX2 Sports and KFNS Radio 590 "The Fan" in St. Louis, MO. On this show, Charlie talks about creating sports content during the coronavirus pandemic, as well as the ways he's curating and gathering content for his TV reports and social media. Charlie spoke about building relationships with athletes and his process of producing stories for radio and television. Charlie also talked about interviewing Laila Anderson, the amazing young St. Louis girl, who became a major part of the 2019 St. Louis Blues Stanley Cup championship story.

Ladue alum and award winning journalist Ariana Tobin is the Engagement Team Editor for ProPublica, "an independent, nonprofit newsroom that produces investigative journalism with moral force." Ariana discusses covering the coronavirus and the impact on healthcare workers, her investigative work on age discrimination, and her past experience in public radio. Ariana also discusses investigative journalism, vetting crowdsourced information, and she shares in-depth examples to offer context to what ProPublica calls "accountability journalism."
