Ladue alum Tal Kopan is the Washington Correspondent and Senior Political Reporter for The San Francisco Chronicle. In this episode, Tal talks about building relationships and reporting the stories from Washington which impact her audience in the state of California. Tal spoke about her experience being on-camera and how she develops her stories, written or for broadcast, and the steps she takes to vet her work, so all stakeholders trust her reporting. Tal also offers great advice for young budding journalists and spoke about how she gained the basics of her journalism skills by writing for our Ladue High School newspaper, Panorama, while developing her on-camera, extemporaneous speaking skills, through being on the Ladue Debate Team.
