14 year-old Terry produced this news package interviewing his dad to find out what Media Makers is all about. Terry shot this video all on his iPhone 11 Pro, used some BRoll from his dad, and edited his very first project in Final Cut Pro X.  In the video, Don explains the purpose of Media Makers and you will get a behind the scenes look at his rather interesting, makeshift home studio.

What is Media Makers?
Don Goble, the Broadcast Technology Instructor at Ladue Horton Watkins High School in St. Louis, MO, created a speaker series titled, Media Makers. Don interviews his former Ladue High School alumni now working in the media business, as well as some of my professional media maker friends. Using Zoom, Don's students are invited to participate live to ask questions, or watch the video after. Students are asked to research important facts about these professionals, blog about what they learned, and then find one to two stories these professionals produced, or collaborated on, to write about in their personal blogs, along with an image(s) related to the story.

Don hopes his students will be inspired to learn more from these professionals to improve their own practice when they can leave their homes and tell stories again from the field.
