Tom Mee Jr. is an acclaimed, award-winning Television Director for St. Louis Cardinals baseball. Tom has worked his way through the business as a camera operator, stage manager and television producer for the Minnesota Twins and joined the St. Louis Cardinals broadcast team in 1988. Since then he has been an integral part of one of baseball’s highest-rated telecasts. Tom has also directed most other major sports on the network, regional and local levels and is an Emmy Award winner several times over. On this episode, Tom shares his insights into directing a Cardinals baseball broadcast, his all-time favorite memory from a game, his favorite Cardinals players, and working with Dan McLaughlin, Ricky Horton, Jack and Joe Buck. Tom also talked about the specific details of his director's job in his book Cutting the Game, how he prepares for games, and the importance of having a close relationship with the broadcast announcers, and the Cardinals team in general.
